Turtle Islands: Paradise Found

Turtle Islands, an archipelago of eight little islands thrown across the Atlantic Ocean, are by far one of the most ‘cast-away’ destinations I have visited in Sierra Leone.

Leafing through Freetown’s history, the city bore many names; one of them, an obscure white man’s grave, made the Europeans escape to the city’s forested hills from the most dreaded animal in Africa, a mosquito.
